How to tell a factory from a trader
Five questions in a written exchange that a reseller does not get through, and what the answers look like when they do.
From the Chinese factory to your warehouse — handled by one team.
GT Trade & Logistics is a Guangzhou-based trading and freight company. We find the factory, go and look at it before you pay, negotiate in Chinese, control the goods before they ship, clear the export and deliver to your door — under one contract.
What we do
Each of them can be bought separately. Most clients start with one and end up handing over the whole route.
We go to the plant, look at the workshop and the licences, and tell you what we saw.

Read more →Why us
Not a contact list and not a partner network. The person who inspects your batch works for us and answers to you by name.
A company being registered and a company being able to make your order are two different facts. Only one of them is visible from a website.
Cargo is received at our Guangzhou warehouse, counted, photographed and loaded by us. It is not reloaded at intermediate depots, which is where goods usually go missing.
Conformity marks, labelling and test reports are prepared for your market while the goods are still in China — not argued about at your customs.
Sourcing, inspection, export clearance and freight sit on one agreement with one responsible party. There is no point where we say "that part is the forwarder's".
How it works
The order matters: every step below exists because skipping it is what costs importers money.
You tell us what you buy or want to buy. We come back with questions, not with a price list.
We write the technical brief and find factories that can actually make it. Traders posing as plants are filtered out here.
We visit the site: workshop, equipment, warehouse, licences, export rights, court records. You get a report with photographs.
Contract with the factory, payment to a company account, quality control before dispatch, photo and video report, loading.
Export clearance in China, freight on the agreed route, customs at destination, delivery to your door with a full document trail.
Services in detail
The gap between "this company is registered" and "this company can make your order" is exactly what a site visit is for. We do not hand you contacts and wish you luck — we go to the production floor, look at the workshops, the equipment and the warehouse, and check the licences, the export rights and the court record.
We also filter out the traders who present themselves as manufacturers. There are about five questions in a written exchange that a trader does not get through, and we ask them before anyone books a flight.
Negotiations are held in Chinese and on the terms of Chinese business practice. The contract is with the factory, and payment goes to a company account — never to a private person.
Know the factory before you pay it.
For samples, urgent batches, online shops and season top-ups. We buy out and collect the cargo at the supplier's premises rather than waiting for the factory to "send it themselves" — which is where most of the delay usually happens.
Export documents are prepared by us. Customs at the destination is handled the white way, with the real value in the declaration and a full set of papers. A courier brings it to the door.
An honest note on timing: 48 hours is the flight leg. The total time also depends on when the factory has the goods ready and on customs in your country — and we tell you that figure before we send anything, not after.
Two days from their door to yours.
We assemble and dispatch our own containers. Your goods are not reloaded at intermediate warehouses, which is the point in the chain where cargo is most often damaged, mixed up or simply lost.
Everything arrives first at our Guangzhou warehouse, where it is counted, checked and photographed. If your market needs different labelling or stronger packaging, that is done there too, before loading.
One container, one person responsible. We do not tell clients that the shipment "has been passed to a partner". Sea, rail or a combined route — we pick it against your deadline and your budget.
From one kilo. In our own container.
Industrial installations, production lines, structures and machinery. The route is designed around the shipment — its dimensions, its weight, the transfer points it can survive and the permits each of them needs.
Loading, packing and securing an oversized unit is a piece of engineering work, not a matter of putting it in a container. We treat it as such, and we obtain every transport permit ourselves.
Delivery is to the site, not to the port. A crate standing at a terminal two hundred kilometres from the installation is not a delivered shipment.
If it fits on a ship, we will move it.
Every market has its own requirements: CE in the European Union, SASO and the Gulf conformity mark for Saudi Arabia and the GCC states, INMETRO in Brazil, and separate rules again across Central Asia.
Doing this in China before the goods ship is cheaper and faster than discovering the gap at the destination customs, where the cargo is already sitting and already costing money.
We identify which requirements apply, arrange testing at an accredited laboratory, prepare the technical file, have the marking applied at the factory and assemble the document pack your customs will ask for.
To be clear about what we are: we organise and accompany certification. The certifying body is an independent accredited organisation. We do not issue certificates ourselves.
Cleared for your market before it ships.
A contract with a Chinese supplier that actually works in a dispute — not a thread of messages in a chat app. Delivery terms, payment terms, acceptance and liability for defects are written down before the first transfer leaves your account.
We prepare the export documents in China and the import documents in the destination country, file the customs declaration and act as your broker.
We work white only: a full document trail and the real value in the declaration. Beyond single shipments, we also advise on how to set the process up — so the second and tenth deliveries do not each need rescuing.
Contracts that hold. Papers that clear.
Selection is made against your technical brief, not against a photograph in a catalogue. We check the manufacturer and the product, not only the price.
Technical documentation is translated properly — it is separate work, and without it the machine cannot be serviced once it is standing in your workshop.
The equipment is run and tested before dispatch, with video evidence. After that: delivery, customs and support through to commissioning. We have supplied production sites, farms, car workshops, cafés, shops, warehouses and factories.
From technical brief to first run.
Your product, made in China under your own brand. The factory is chosen for that specific item — there is no universal plant that makes everything well.
Samples, revisions, tooling, packaging and marking are part of the job, and so is control of the batch at every stage rather than a single look at the finished pallet.
We also protect the work: a non-disclosure agreement with the manufacturer, and registration of your trademark in China. That last point surprises people, so it is worth stating plainly — a mark unregistered in China can be registered there by someone else, and you can then be stopped from exporting your own product out of the country where it is made.
Your brand. Their machines. Our control.
Shipping quote
We do not print a number on the screen. A real rate depends on the direction, the season, how loaded the route is and what the cargo actually is, and a figure that does not survive the first phone call costs more trust than it saves.
What you get instead: an estimated transit time straight away, because that we do know, and a written quote for your specific shipment within one working day.
Chargeable weight is the greater of actual and volumetric weight. Our form takes both, so the quote you receive is the one you will be invoiced.
Useful reading
The first articles are being written. Each one answers a single question — the ones that come up in almost every first conversation.
Five questions in a written exchange that a reseller does not get through, and what the answers look like when they do.
Why a light, bulky shipment is billed by volume, how the divisor differs by air and sea, and how to estimate it before you order.
Where responsibility for the cargo changes hands under each term, and which one leaves the risk with you longer than you think.
Who we work with
Most of our clients arrive after something went wrong: the wrong goods, an overpaid trader, a prepayment that never came back. Some arrive before that, which is cheaper.
Request
Four short steps. After you send it, you will see a confirmation with your name on it, and a person from the Guangzhou office picks it up during Chinese working hours.
If you would rather write than fill in a form, the messenger buttons in the chat window reach the same team.

Everything above happens from here. There is no second address in another country doing the actual work.
